Physician Liaisons are representatives for doctors, hospitals, and medical practices. They are trained to bridge the gap between referring specialty physicians and doctors. All Physician Liaisons should have strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills. Marisa Mellett has all of these skills and more. She is an outstanding Physician Liaison that can handle tasks, and she is very good at organizing them. Due to her extensive background in Marketing, it helped her grow into an effective representative for Action Behavior Centers.

How it all Started for Marisa Mellett
Born and raised in Texas, Marisa always wanted to work in the medical field. In 2017, she received her Bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University, and in 2020, she received her Master’s degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She swore to help out people in case of emergencies, so she worked to get her CPR & AED certificate as well.
Marisa became a Registered Behavior Technician at Pinecone Therapies for one year and a month. Here, she worked with her clients and their families to facilitate positive changes, track behavioral data, and so on. She also ensured client growth through timely data collection via technology to enhance social skills.
After Pinecone Therapies, she transferred to Action Behavior Centers and continued working as a Registered Behavior Technician. She grew to become a more independent person and learned many skills that led her to become a trusted Physician Liaison.
Her Role as a Physician Liaison at Action Behavior Centers
Before becoming a Physician Liaison, she became a Marketing Assistant first. She juggled one task after another, and Marisa fought through it to become an essential member of the company. As an Assistant, she frequently assisted the Office Administrator in the new client application process, tours, scheduling, office management, and more.
She shone when she started working as a Physician in August of 2019. Her primary role is to connect and build relationships with medical professionals in the Austin region.
